Joshua Lewis (MChiro, LRCC, DC)

I graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with a distinction. My interest in anatomy, sport injuries, manual therapy and rehabilitation originally stemmed from my history as a personal trainer; due to this history I have a vast understanding of gym related exercises and many other forms of exercise, this helps me understand how acute and long term problems can obstruct your progression within these activities which I can then help adapt accordingly.

I still participate in high amounts of physical activity including running, weightlifting, cycling and climbing. I have signed up to run the Brighton Marathon in September 2021 which will be my first marathon! I was born in Eastbourne and grew up in the local area before leaving to do my degree in Chiropractic in Wales. After graduating I moved to the Northampton/Milton Keynes area where I have built up my expertise by working in a handful of clinics and seeing many hundreds of patients.

I strongly believe that many people today suffer chronic pain due to their low activity levels and feel that chiropractic should be used to aid a return to physical exercise or in conjunction with regular exercise and a balanced healthy lifestyle in order to achieve a pain free healthy existence. I employ multiple treatment techniques to help my patients, including spinal manipulative therapy, trigger point therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue work, dry needling and exercise prescription.

Jana Mackova (MChiro, LRCC, DC)

I graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with a distinction and have worked in several clinics around the country over the previous years. I have had a long standing interest in the function of the human body and health which motivated me to pursue my career in Chiropractic.

Over the years I have enhanced my knowledge and skills by completing courses in chiropractic care in pregnancy, kinesiology taping, dry needling and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation techniques (IASTM) and use these techniques daily. My overall goal is to optimise your function and performance and I take pride in offering the very best treatment and care for all my patients, whether you’re looking for pain relief or general preventative care to get you back to your normal lifestyle as soon as possible. Pain and discomfort is becoming a chronic issue, especially as a result of working from home due to Covid-19, and I strongly believe this can be addressed with ergonomic set up as well as postural advice and I am passionate to be able to offer this service at Bodycare Chiropractic. I have a special interest in low back pain and muscular rehabilitation for all individuals of all ages and all situations and my aim in practice is to afford you as the patient pain relief in the shortest period of time and safeguard your long-term health and well being. I also currently teach student chiropractors at London Southbank University.

During my free time I enjoy horse riding, cycling and cooking. Having originally come from Slovakia I am fluent in Slovakian as well as English.
